It would be a better way to have fun when nobody wants to join your group. XD

This is old but I agreed with it then so I agree with it now.

I have a mixed opinion on this one. Sure, snowball fights are cool, but its kinda like asking you if u would have christmas every day of the year. Its special becuase it was a break from the norm, a little bit of sillyness. You make it the norm, and no matter how amazing it seems at first, it will get boring. Keep Snowball fights as a treat, dont make it the norm.

I was hoping they would have added a Valentines, Easter and other special maps/events for each holiday. Who wouldn't want to blast a 20 foot high Cupid with Meteor.

In one of the more recent chat logs, something like this was brought up and Gaile said that they will keep them once a year. To keep it special and so that each year, you have something to look forward to. Or something to that effect...I'd have to double-check.

put it in a miniature place, since all pvp ideas should be solid and availible instead of a seasonal event imo.

only downside that might occur is that people will be going to the miniature pvp areas and the heavy pvp areas will get less populated which will increase diffuculty in finding groups and such.

it's already been developed, the argument here is for it to be implemented

i cant see anyone that is a *serious* PvP'er ditching their normal arena fun for the snowball arena, to be honest....i mean, its not realy *serious* to them now is it?

all they have to do is remove *discriptions* that call the skills holiday themed and replace them with winter themed..(so holiday blues might become winter blues or SnowDay blues....the thing that sets all hp and magic to sertain level would nt be yuletide? but Arctic or Frosty ect...)

then simply take the grenth/dwayna avatars out, replace them with a frost golem and make you be taking small frosty crystals to them....
no, you dont get a random prezzie at the end of it...its just snowball for FUN (though i might be ok with small amounts of bathazar favour...as a way to wean non PvP'ers into it slowly)

and if you remember...everyone in the arena had the same hp and mp..and they all had the same skills....there was no arsing about with FotM builds....or iway ect and all there chums....its a good way to get non pvp'ers into it, althought they might get pissed when they *do* get to a proper arena and find all of the above.....

see, by taking out the festive parts *that which makes it REALY special...presents, festive cheer and the gods avies ect* it does becopme more of a common thing....but still, it would be a very good and FAIR way to get folks interested in PvP...its not like you can say 'omg, i was beaten by a frost/monk' now can you....not if the skills are all set by your class...
i would say it is the best fair arena they have ever made....skill and teamwork rather than FotM...since even a lvl 3 noobie has the same skills and hp/mp as a lvl 20 Leet dude....just that the 20 dude will know what to do better with those skills...

So true! There were a lot of anti-PvPers in my Guild that participated in these arenas. Because they were level (same health, same energy) and Random!

The snowball arena is allready complete. All ANET needs to do is put it back on the servers and place an NPC somewhere to give people acess to it again.

But I noticed that nearing the end of wintersday, there were much less people there than at its opening. So I expect that it will decay into a group of regulars and 1 or 2 new people who get owned by the experianced players and then never return.

You would have it open only during my summer ?

Default Bring back the 2005 Wintersday Snowball Fight Arena :)

During wintersday 2005 we had a snowball arena where we had snowball skills and special snowball skills for each profession. Sadly however after Wintersday passed this arena went away. I say we bring this Arena back, its a fun break once in a while from the actual game. We could make it a minigame

Who's With Me? Constructive Criticism only please...Your only sounding like a Noob if you Flame.

The Snowball Fight Arena was one of the better implementations of PvE and PvP combined.

I think that this specific venue should be reserved for Wintersday events, but there should be some similar arena where your skills are generic based upon your profession. Health and energy is the same regardless of level and personal equipment.

Base the entry points in every major city within all current and future campaigns.

Where you can earn Ice Faction points, and trade them for more snowfight skills? Earn the title of "Ice King" or "Queen of Frost"? Can take off all the thing related to the two god and winter's day, and just leave/mod the snowfight part, and put it as a fun arena up in the Mountains.

I'd rather not have too many different faction points to earn.

But yeah, the Snowball Arena was fun. Maybe during the summer Grenth will freeze over and give us a chilly reprieve from the weather.

Im so pissed off that I only bought the game this year. I was reading up wintersday on GWiki and I was guttered at what I had missed out.

well. I don't want to sign this. I reckon this event is so great, it would only be natural for Anet to tease everyone by keeping it in the winter season. :P

Oh. wait. It's summer for me in December... me seeing snow would be a turnoff..

Wintersday in July.... wooo!!!
